HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Dancing With Our Stars is returning this fall as local celebrities, and community dance professionals take the stage at the Alhambra Theatre on September 7.
Leading up to the event, community members will cast their vote for their favorite celebrity duo to raise money for both the Pennyroyal Arts Council and local non-profit Sanctuary Inc., a shelter for domestic violence and more, according to a press release from PAC.
“We are thrilled to bring back this crowd favorite and this crucial fundraiser for our two organizations,” says Executive Director of the Pennyroyal Arts Council Margaret Prim.
In the past, Dancing with Our Stars has raised over $300,000. Heather Lancaster, Executive Director of Sanctuary, Inc. says the event will be an exciting show and she is excited to introduce the dancers. “Thank you to our stars and supporters who put the spotlight on the wonderful community services Sanctuary and Pennyroyal Arts Council has to offer,” Lancaster said.
Tickets will go on sale July 9 and will be available for purchase online at the Pennyroyal Arts Council website. Tickets for the in-person show are $60 with live stream tickets available for $25. The event is also looking for sponsorships and those interested should email margaret.prim@pennyroyalarts.org to learn more.
