HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Isolated thunderstorms and heavy rain are possible Wednesday morning and afternoon in Christian County, according to the National Weather Service.
Scattered storms will continue through Memorial Day weekend, with more severe weather possible on Sunday.
“As daytime heating increases, thunderstorms may redevelop along and ahead of this stalling cold front. Severe thunderstorms are possible with hail and damaging winds the main threat,” said the National Weather Service in Paducah. “The tornado risk currently appears relatively low. Any storms that form will contain very heavy rain and may be slow moving leading to flash flood concerns.”

- Today: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 4pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 85. Southwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
- Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 10pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 1am. Some of the storms could be severe. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. South wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
- Thursday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 1pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. High near 79. South southwest wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
- Thursday night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Light south wind. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
- Friday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Partly sunny, with a high near 81. South southwest wind 6 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
- Friday night: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. South wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
