HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Officers with the Oak Grove Police Department received large, boxed lunches from Fort Care to thank them for their service to the community. Fort Care is a Nashville organization that frequently distributes food and groceries to honor soldiers, military members, veterans, and military families.

“We want to thank and recognize Chief Cunningham and the Oak Grove Police Department for all of their time and resources for the Fort Care Honor Package Grocery Distributions,” said Shana Armstrong, Fort Care team director. “We know many of the Oak Grove officers are prior military and we thank them for their service in the military and within the police department.”

The boxes were distributed to officers and contain beverages, fruit, vegetables, and snacks along with other food items.
