Eddy Ray Petty, age 65 of Lewisburg, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 8th at his home of natural causes.
Eddy was born September 26, 1958 in Memphis, Tennessee, son of the late Lloyd and Faye Hayes Petty.
He loved his family, playing pool and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Swinny Petty; a brother, Donald Petty and a stepson, Shannon Gibbons. He is survived by a son, Richard Petty (Trish); two stepsons, James Gibbons (Kacie) and Greg Hall (Billy); three stepdaughters, Danielle Phillips (Danny), Amber Fulkerson (Coty) and Chassity Watson; a brother, Johnny Petty (Phyllis); a sister, Charolette Petty; two granddaughters, Mary Petty and Cacee Brawley-Petty; eighteen step grandchildren; a daughter in law, Melinda Gibbons and two former wives, Brenda Petty and Vicki Hall.
It was Eddy’s wish to be cremated. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on a later date.
