HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Renovations at Jennie Stuart Health in Hopkinsville have concluded, leaving the hospital with a remodeled and expanded emergency department.

“With almost 20,000 square feet, the ER is now even better positioned to serve our community,” said a statement from Jennie Stuart Health on Aug 15. Renovations allowed them to add an updated waiting room, additional patient rooms, and four triage bays. All equip with state-of-the-art healthcare technology.

In March, the hospital opened a new wing in the emergency room under new leadership.  This allowed them to improve the patient experience with a more efficient layout, according to a news release from the hospital. This first round of renovations made individual rooms 30% larger, with three rooms dedicated to resuscitating the critically ill while give additional space to accommodate medical staff.
