John G. Young, 92, of Hopkinsville, KY died at 12:46 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Maple Health and Rehabilitation in Greenville, KY.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Monday, September 16, 2024 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Johnsons Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Christian County, KY he was born April 2, 1932 the son of the late Holbert Young and Lola Johnson Young. He was retired from the International Shoe Company. He attended New Barren Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: H.D. Young, Benjamin D. Young, Leland A. Young, Charles C. Young, George R. Young, James D. Young, and Paul R. Young.
Survivors include his brother: Fred R. Young of Greenville, KY.
