HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – On Feb. 22 around 10 p.m, the Hopkinsville Fire Department arrived on the scene of a reported structure fire on Norman Dale Drive.
A single-wide trailer home was found fully engulfed in flames by the time firefighters approached. According to HFD, the fire was extinguished within 25 minutes of the call. Their efforts prevented the flames from spreading to adjacent homes.
Payton Rogers with HFD told Christian County Now that there were two occupants inside the home when the fire started, but they were able to make it out before the fire spread. No injuries were reported from occupants or firefighters.
The cause of the fire is being investigated, with Rogers reporting it was likely triggered by a space heater.
