HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Located at 101 Walton Way, construction at the new Fire Station 5 in Hopkinsville is well underway. The city has shared renderings of what the community can expect to see this fall from what is described as a state-of-the-art emergency response and regional training center.
Officials broke ground back in November 2024, when Fire Chief Steve Futrell shared that it had been 25 years since the city had opened a new fire station. The impressive design spans over 38,000 square feet on a 10.3-acre lot.
According to a statement from the City of Hopkinsville, it will feature a three-bay apparatus station for fire operations, dedicated training grounds, and a live burn building with a multi-use training tower for fire behavior, search and rescue, and ventilation drills.
