HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The community is invited to attend the next gathering of the bell hooks Book Club, an informal group who will come together in conversation of Hopkinsville native bell hooks and her extensive work. The next gathering will be Monday, May 19 at 6 p.m. at the Pennyroyal Area Museum.

During their next meeting, participants will continue discussion of the first two chapters of bell hooks’ book All About Love: New Visions, which was released in 2000. In this book, bell hooks explores what causes a polarized society and how to heal divisions. This New York Times bestselling book offers the truth about love in an expansive context and gives inspiration to help instill caring, compassion, and strength in all interactions, according to a news release from the museum.

Continuous discussions will be held on the third Monday of each month. Copies of All About Love are available in The Vault by Planters Bank Museum Shop, and online through the museum’s Shopify store. It is also available to check out from the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library.
