Dog Days of Summer: Join the Christian County Animal Shelter for a three-day long adoption event. Vendors, food, bouncy houses, other rescues and tons of adoptable animals will be onsite from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. on June 5-7.
Squealin’ on the Square: The 7th Annual Squealin’ on the Square combines this summer’s heat with the sweet taste of BBQ on Friday, June 6! Downtown Hopkinsville will be live with music on the Founders Square stage from 6-9 p.m. with Rock and Roll Pianos. Squealin’ on the Square will feature up to 10 teams battling for the coveted trophy and $250 cash prize.
Hoptown Hoppers vs. Henderson Flash: The Hoptown Hoppers baseball team will be playing at Christian County High School at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 6.
Men2Be Community Breakfast: Join Men2Be on June 7 for Pop with Men 2 Be! They’re hosting a free community breakfast starting at 8 a.m. until it’s gone, followed by shopping with our amazing local vendors and food trucks kicking off at 10 a.m.! This event is part of their to efforts to revitalize something grand in the community.
Book Signing: JJ Park: Blush and Bashful bookstore in Hopkinsville will be hosting Kentucky author JJ Park on June 7 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Be sure to come by and get a signed copy of her fantasy and sci-fi romance books.
Neon Glow: Biofluorescence in Nature: Have you ever seen wild animals in the library? Well now’s your chance! Woodlands Nature Station is helping the Hopkinsville-Christian County Library celebrate Summer Reading by presenting “Neon Glow: Biofluorescence in Nature”. 10-11 a.m. June 7 at Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library, 1101 Bethel St. This is a free program for animal lovers of all ages.
