HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – With high temperatures around 95 and a heat index as high as 106, a Heat Advisory is in effect through June 27 for Christian County.
“Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing,” said a statement from the National Weather Service in Paducah. “Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.”
Temperatures will stay in the mid-90s throughout the week, with the heat index remaining in the triple digits. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms are possible Friday.
