Hoptown Throwdown: Get ready to kick up your heels and join Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation for the second annual Hoptown Throwdown on Friday, July 11. Attendees can immerse themselves in a celebration of all things Southern while enjoying live music from Nashville artist Court Taylor. The night promises another evening packed with country flair and family fun at Founder’s Square starting at 6 p.m.

Saturday Farmers Market: At Founders Square in downtown Hopkinsville on July 12, people can find locally grown healthy produce, fresh-cut flowers, proteins, baked goods, bourbon & spirits, handcrafted items and more from 9 a.m. to noon.

Summer Reading Finale Party: The Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library is wrapping up the 2025 Summer Reading Program “Reading Under the Big Top” with a day or carnival games, live animals and a free hotdog lunch! 11 a.m.-1 p.m. July 12 at 1101 Bethel St. They will raffle off our summer reading prizes and also have door prizes!

Christmas in July Craft and Vendor Fair: The fifth annual Christmas in July Craft & Vendor Fair is the perfect way to spend a summer Saturday, as the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex Hopkinsville welcomes artists, creators, and more inside the 54,000-square foot, climate-controlled facility on July 12 from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. Christmas in July Craft & Vendor Fair has over 80 vendors with featured items such as handmade jewelry, vintage glassware, pet products, homemade soaps, and much more. Admission will be free for visitors and concessions will be available for purchase at the Game Day Cafe and Food Trucks.

Kentucky Bands, Bourbon, and Wine: Browse and sip from a wide selection of spirits as vendors from across the Bluegrass State showcase their best bourbon, wine, and more on July 12 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Enjoy live music all evening long with three incredible bands taking the stage, and treat yourself to a variety of delicious eats from our lineup of food trucks. Open Mic Poetry Night: Share original poems, perform a favorite author’s piece, or simply enjoy a night of creativity and community at The Book & Bottle shop on July 12 at 6 p.m. Early registration is available for those planning to perform, and any remaining spots will be available for open mic sign-ups at the door.
