HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A Heat Advisory has already been issued for Christian County through 7 p.m. on Thursday. According to the National Weather Service, heat index values will hit upward of 106 degrees this week.
“To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air-conditioned environments, ” said a statement from NWS in Paducah. “Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location”
A chance of storms is predicted for Monday afternoon and Tuesday, with storms possible again on Friday.
