HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Ollie’s Bargain Outlet has opened their first location in Christian County, welcoming in crowds of shoppers on Sept. 10.
Located in Hopkinsville inside the old Big Lots, the store had been opened to the public for nearly a week leading up to their grand opening on Wednesday. Lines were stretched throughout the store as customers had carts full of deals, while John Glass with Beaver 100.3 welcomed in shoppers with music and prizes.

“Everybody is excited that we are here,” store manager Erica told Christian County Now, explaining that staff has been working hard getting the store ready leading up to the opening. “We had some good days, and we had some bad days, but we made it through with a very good outcome!”
The Ollie’s website says their store is America’s largest retailer of closeout merchandise and excess inventory. They offer value on brand name products in a variety of departments, including housewares, food, books and stationery, bed and bath, floor coverings, toys, health and beauty aids, and more. They currently operate 568 stores in 31 states and growing.
Throughout the day, coupons were distributed, and people had a chance to take a photo with the Ollie’s mascot. Find the store in Hopkinsville next to Planet Fitness at 2601 Fort Campbell Boulevard.
