HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Hopkinsville Brewing Company will celebrate its ninth annual Hoptoberfest with a day of competition, food and craft beer at their downtown location Sept. 20 from noon to 10 p.m.

For those with strong beards and strong arms, Hoptoberfest on Sept. 20 will feature the HBC’s popular beard and stein-holding contests. Categories for the beard competition include full beard, partial beard and artificial beard, with pets welcome to participate in the latter.

There is a new twist this year, an adult spelling bee. People can show off their spelling abilities, with drinking both allowed and encouraged.

Camo Caravan will be supplying food throughout the day, with a special menu planned with their signature Caravan Burger, bratwurst, hot dogs, and more. The event will also highlight a special collaboration with Brushy Fork Creek Gallery, with hand crafted ceramic steins to be unveiled and sold.

Nearby downtown Hopkinsville businesses will also be hosting Hoptoberfest events on Sept 20, with a pumpkin truck at Bella Maria, Hobbit Day at the Book and Bottle Shop, a fall market at The Mixer, and a Viking Costume Contest at Milkweed Health and Harmony Emporium.
