HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – There are just a few events and activities to check out this weekend in Hopkinsville and Oak Grove including a silent disco at the library, a free concert at the casino, and a community book swap downtown.

Silent Disco

  • When: Nov. 15, 2–3 p.m.
  • Where: Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library, 1101 Bethel St., Hopkinsville
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: Get your groove on under the disco ball at the library’s Silent Disco, a free event open to all ages. Participants will listen to music through wireless headphones and can switch between multiple music channels. Space is limited and registration is required. Headphones will be provided.

Pretty Grimm

  • When: Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, at 10 p.m.
  • Where: Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel, 777 Winners Way, Oak Grove
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: The all-request band Pretty Grimm will bring its mix of 1970s, ’80s, and ’90s hits to Oak Grove. Known for energetic crowd engagement, sing-alongs, and audience-driven song choices, the Nashville-based group has shared the stage with acts like Montgomery Gentry and performed across Broadway’s live music circuit.

Community Book Swap

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, from 1–2 p.m.
  • Where: The Book and Bottle Shop, 123 E. Ninth St., Hopkinsville
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: Bring a wrapped book, or several, to trade at this community swap, held Dirty Santa–style. Participants will exchange books through rounds of random selection and friendly steals, then enjoy a trade period once all books are revealed. The event is free, with wine available for purchase. Guests are invited to stay for the Saturday Silent Book Club at 2 p.m.
