HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Christian County High School dominated the field this past weekend at the Western Kentucky Tournament of Champions marching band competition.
The competition was hosted by the Hopkinsville High School band, who did not compete. Anthony Darnall, the CCHS Director of Bands, released the several accolades that the band received during the competition. The Colonel Band won Best Overall Guard, Best Overall Percussion, Best Overall Music, Best Overall Visual, and Best Overall General Effect.
The band was also named the Overall Grand Champion.
They will be competing again soon at Muhlenberg County, where the top 6 will advance to state semifinals. Get more updates about the band on their Facebook page.
