HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Fire crews worked overnight searching for hotspots following a structure fire in the 100 block of South Kentucky Avenue.
The fire was reported to the Hopkinsville Police Department around 9 p.m. on Nov. 18 after a caller reported dense smoke in the area. Firefighters were able to respond within three minutes of the call.
The home involved in the fire was vacant, but an apartment behind the residence was occupied at the time. No injuries were reported. More than a dozen firefighters responded, shifting to defensive operations due to concerns about the roof’s stability, according to HFD.
