HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Check out some fun and festive events around Hopkinsville and Christian County this weekend including a toy drive, a Christmas parade, performances of the Nutcracker, Fort Campbell Winter Wonderland and more.
Cram the Cruiser Christmas Toy Drive
- When: Dec. 5, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
- Where: Christian County Sheriff’s Office, 630 W. Seventh St., Hopkinsville
- Cost: Free; donations encouraged
- Details: Help brighten the holidays for local children by donating new, unwrapped toys during the annual Cram the Cruiser event. The Christian County Sheriff’s Office and Cash Express are teaming up once again to support families in need. The goal: fill the patrol cruiser with gifts for kids across the community. All donations stay local.
Fort Campbell Winter Wonderland
- When: Dec. 5 at 4:30 p.m.
- Where: U.S. Army Fort Campbell Garrison Headquarters
- Cost: Free
- Details: A Christmas market will start at 2 p.m. with a holiday parade at 4:30 p.m. There will be a tree lighting afterwards featuring performances by the 101st Airborne Division Band and the Child and Youth Services Choir and the arrival of Santa Claus. Photos and story time with Santa starts at 6:15 p.m. at the R.F. Sink Library. The Winter Wonderland activities continue on Saturday Dec. 6 with Trees for Troops at the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Parade Field, 6390 Desert Storm Ave.
City of Crofton Christmas Parade
- When: Dec. 6 at 11 a.m., line up at 10 a.m.
- Where: Starting at Gordon Park
- Details: Join the fun, make a float or decorate a car. The community is also invited to come and watch the festive parade.
- When: Dec. 6, 12:20 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
- Where: Hopkinsville Animal Clinic, 4032 Fort Campbell Blvd., Hopkinsville
- Cost: Free with donation
- Details: Bring your pets for festive photos with Santa at Hopkinsville Animal Clinic. All animals are welcome, but attendees are asked to donate unopened pet food in exchange for photos. This event is open to the public.
- When: Dec. 6, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Where: Jeffers Bend Environmental Center, Hopkinsville
- Details: Celebrate the holidays at Jeffers Bend Environmental Center with storytelling, photos with Santa, nature-inspired crafts, holiday games, DIY Christmas cards, festive music, and sweet treats. The event offers a cozy, family-friendly holiday experience indoors.
Smoke & Barrels: A Curated Whiskey & Cigar Experience
- When: Saturday, Dec. 6 12–4 p.m.
- Where: MB Roland Distillery, Pembroke
- Cost: $80 general admission, $72 for veterans, military, first responders.
- Details: MB Roland Distillery will host a guided whiskey tasting and cigar pairing led by Paul Tomaszewski, co-founder and master distiller, along with Deployment Brand Cigars co-founder Chuck Cordak. Tickets include a tasting glass, a four-sample single-barrel flight, cigars and a full meal of brisket, baked beans, baked potato salad and cornbread.
Pennyrile Area Community Band Christmas Concert
- When: Dec. 6 at 6 p.m.
- Where: Christian County Middle School Performing Arts Center
- Cost: Donations optional
- Details: Come kick off the holiday season with the community band. They will have some of your favorite Christmas tunes and some new songs too. Great family event, free concert, donations accepted.

- Details: The Pennyroyal Arts Council, in partnership with Brooke Bailey Dance Addiction & Gymnastics, presents the 6th annual holiday production of The Nutcracker. This family-friendly performance brings Clara and her Nutcracker Prince to life with enchanting music, stunning dance, and local talent. Public performances continue Dec. 6 at 6:30 p.m. and Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. Approximate running time is 60 minutes.
