HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – 2 Hopkinsville teenagers have not returned home after their families reported them missing nearly a week ago.
The Hopkinsville Police Department only has two active missing juvenile cases, which are 16-year-old Amanda Henderson and 16-year-old Kimera Trea. Officer Royale Marfil told Christian County Now that there have been no new developments in their cases since they were reported missing on Dec. 5.
To narrow down their possible whereabouts, the investigation process includes searching their known “hang out” areas, as well as collaborating with School Resource Officers and the school system to gather additional information about their possible location.
Throughout the year, HPD sees a fairly consistent amount of missing juvenile reports with no significant spikes during a particular time of year, according to Officer Marfil. In some instances, investigations are not made public at the request of families, or teenagers return shortly after the report is received.
Both of the girls were reportedly last seen near apartments on Denzil Drive around 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 5. Anyone with any information about their whereabouts are encouraged to call ECC at 270-890-1300.
