HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Christian County, in effect from Jan. 23-25.

Periods of moderate to heavy snow will be possible between Friday and Sunday, with total snow accumulations possibly exceeding five inches, according to NWS. The areas expected to see the most snowfall are likely near the Arkansas and Tennessee border, as well as western Kentucky.

Travel and roads are expected to be impacted by the storm. KYTC has already started pretreating roads throughout the state, including highways in Christian County.
