HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – With spring on the way, trees are budding and flowers are blooming across the city.

Ranging from downtown Hopkinsville to nature spaces and parks, here are a few scenic places to visit this spring to enjoy the new greenery.

1. Trail of Tears Commemorative Park

The commemorative park and heritage center is located at 100 Trail of Tears Drive in Hopkinsville. This scenic park contains walking trails, historical elements, a playground, and disk golf course.

2. Jeffers Bend Environmental Center

At 1170 Metcalfe Lane in Hopkinsville, visitors can explore 40-acres of grassland with a beautiful lake, gardens, and around three miles of walking trails in the woods.

3. Greenway entrance at Pardue Lane

Stretching from downtown to Pardue Lane, the Greenway Rail Trail has several miles of tree lined walking paths, spanning across a large bridge overlooking part of Hopkinsville.

4. Downtown Hopkinsville

Flower beds around the library and Founders Square along with budding trees down South Main Street and Little River Park bring downtown to life during spring.
