HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Nook & Cranny is bringing a new shopping experience to downtown Hopkinsville that is offering the community a curated selection of consignment items both in store and online. Tucked next door to the Princess Theater, people will find a variety of niche collectables, clothing, furniture and more.
Locally owned by a trio of entrepreneurs, Heather Gray, Jason Meacham, and Sabrina Davis have fused their varied and unique expertise. Although Gray had a passion and past experience with consignment, Davis’s past success in reselling online and her close ties with Meacham, who was already in the buy-sell-trade business, inspired the creation of The Nook & Cranny.

“Millennial grey and millennial minimalist is done. Granny core is here and I just hope it is here to stay!” said Davis. The aesthetic of the store is very cozy and uncluttered while fully stocked with a mix of modern and classic finds.
Items that are accepted into the store for consignment are sold in person and online, completely managed by the owners. Stock is kept fresh in the storefront by rotating items after 45 days, allowing each piece to be exposed to different platforms to have an opportunity for a sale.
“The name is very fitting, The Nook & Cranny, because we kind of delved into every nook and cranny,” said Gray in reference to the range of items they have. Meacham iterated that there is something for everyone in the store allowing the whole family can shop. This includes more masculine items like knives and fishing items.

Items sold by young entrepreneurs, new nonprofit tie in
Another feature of the store is their Hoptown NextGen Market. This portion of the store is dedicated to local young entrepreneurs who are interested in selling art. Anyone under the age of 18 can sell handmade items at Nook & Cranny while learning about pricing and profits and getting business experience.
Taking things a step further, proceeds from select items and donations will benefit a newly launched nonprofit founded by Davis and Gray. While they are still seeking community assistance to come up with a name for this venture, they aim to elevate local youth and give a hand up to families by funding birthday gifts for teenagers in the area. They both agree that 13 to 18-year-olds are often pushed to the wayside and hope to inspire joy, collaborate with other organizations, and provide community support with this nonprofit.
Antiques and consignment are recently growing in Hopkinsville with Nook & Cranny joining the newly opened Hudson’s Antiques Depot & More down the street, Elleri’s Formals which offers a selection of consignment formalwear, and LoserRising: Tattoo and Consignment Store further down East Ninth Street. Davis said, “Downtown has been booming, every day we are having people walk in.”
The Nook & Cranny is located at 115 East Ninth Street. They are open Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. People interested in consigning items can visit the Nook & Cranny website for more information
