HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Fire trucks, big rigs and more will line DeBow Recreation Complex during this year’s annual touch-a-truck event from Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation.
On May 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., kids will have the chance to sit behind the wheel of over a dozen trucks including emergency vehicles, tractors and a helicopter to blare horns during this family event. Vendors will also be onsite.
Since the event can get pretty loud, Empowered Minds is initiating a sensory hour that will be available at the end of the event starting at noon. There will also be a sensory friendly tent throughout the duration of the event.
Throughout the summer, parks and recreation is gearing up to host a series of other events including Hoptown Nights, their Summer Adventure Day Camp, Yoga in the Park, Squealin’ on the Square, their community fireworks show and more. Find all events on the Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation website.
