Open Mic Poetry night

  • Where: The Book and Bottle Shop

Native Plant Sale

  • Where: The Bloomery

  • Cost: Free to attend
  • Details: Plant sale featuring native and pollinator-friendly plants, along with hanging baskets and ferns available for purchase. Hosted by The Bloomery.

Spring Book Sale

  • Where: Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library
  • When: May 9, 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
  • Cost: $1 per item
  • Details: Community book sale featuring used books, DVDs and audiobooks. Cash and card accepted. Hosted by the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library.

Touch-A-Truck

  • Where: DeBow Park
  • When: May 9, 10 a.m.–1 p.m.
  • Cost: Free admission
  • Details: Families can explore fire trucks, police cars, tractors, big rigs and more during this hands-on community event hosted by Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation. Kids will have the opportunity to climb inside vehicles and honk the horns. A sensory hour will be held from noon to 1 p.m.

Punk Flea Market

  • Where: The Bruce Convention Center
  • When: May 9-10, 11 a.m.–7 p.m.
  • Cost: $10 general admission; children 12 and under free
  • Details: The Punk Flea Market is bringing a weekend of alternative shopping and entertainment to Hopkinsville featuring vintage clothing, vinyl records, toys, original art, taxidermy, handmade jewelry, retro video games, comic books, VHS tapes, horror memorabilia, oddities and more. The indoor event is open to all ages, with admission valid for both days. Cash and cards accepted.

Corgi Races

  • Where: Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel
  • When: May 10, 1 p.m.
  • Cost: Free admission and parking
  • Details: Family-friendly corgi races held alongside harness racing, featuring concessions, a 50/50 raffle and merchandise sales benefiting the Christian County Humane Society. Registration remains open for participating dogs.
