HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A fast-paced dog racing event is coming this weekend with the Flyball Gobble Trot Tournament at the Western Kentucky Fairgrounds.
Flyball is a sport where highly trained, fast dogs compete in relay style races. Each team participating will have four dogs run individually down a lane, jump over hurdles, trigger a flyball box to release a ball, retrieve the ball, and return over the jumps. The first team to finish with no errors wins the heat.
Droolin’ Dragsters Flyball Club describes the event as very fast, and loud. Admission is free, and the Hopkinsville community is encouraged to come and see these dogs in action. The event is Nov. 11 and 12 beginning at 8 a.m., concessions and a raffle will also be available. Find more information on the Droolin’ Dragsters Facebook page.
