HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – To shake up tradition a bit, this year Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation will host the “Red, White and Ooh!” fireworks show in tandem with the final day of the Western Kentucky State Fair. The night will feature live music, tractor pulls, wrestling and more.
“This year’s Red, White & Oooh! 2026 celebration is bigger and better than ever, and we’re thankful to the Western Kentucky State Fair Board for helping make it happen,” said a statement from Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation. “As the Fair Board celebrates its 75th Anniversary, we’re honored to partner together for a truly historic year, celebrating both America’s 250th birthday and a milestone year for one of our community’s most cherished traditions.”

DeBow Recreational Complex will serve as the “fallout zone” and will be closed to the public for the entire day, however the parking lot will be available for fireworks viewing outside of the fairgrounds. The parking lot can be accessed by the middle entrance.
Following a day of activities at the Western Kentucky State Fairgrounds on July 4, the community fireworks show will blast off from DeBow, and will be visible throughout the fair and nearby areas. Events that are occurring at the fairgrounds will pause for the duration of the fireworks.
Here is the schedule for Saturday night spread throughout different areas of the fair:
- Gates open at 3:30 p.m.
- All rides are free between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.
- Tony Dabney (Christian/Gospel artist) at 6 p.m.
