HOPKINSVILLE, KY – The Christian County High School Tiger Band is excited to welcome bands, families, and music fans from across the region to the 2026 Western Kentucky Tournament of Champions, sponsored by Krusteaz, on Saturday, Oct. 17.
This year’s event is shaping up to be something special as 22 competing marching bands (23 performing groups) and more than 1,500 student performers come together in Hopkinsville for what will be the largest KMEA marching band competition in the Commonwealth of Kentucky this season.
As we celebrate the inaugural season of the newly consolidated Christian County High School Tiger Band, they are especially excited to continue the tradition of hosting one of Western Kentucky’s premier marching band events. Bringing together two historic school communities into one Tiger family makes this year’s Tournament of Champions even more meaningful.
New facility for competition
Spectators and performers will experience several exciting facility upgrades, including a newly installed turf field and improved stadium access. They are proud to showcase these improvements as they welcome thousands of visitors to our community for a full day of outstanding musical performances.
The competition will feature bands of all sizes competing throughout the preliminary round, followed by an exciting 12-band Finals competition that will showcase some of the region’s top marching ensembles.
They encourage everyone to stay for finals and experience the incredible talent, creativity, and pageantry that make marching band one of the most exciting activities in high school education!
