HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A single vehicle crash left a Hopkinsville man dead on Monday, according to Kentucky State Police. The deceased is the driver of the truck, 54-year-old Jose R. Palacios. The passenger was transported from the scene by Air Ambulance, and his current condition has not been released.
A news release from KSP says the accident occurred Dec 4. around 5:40 p.m. in Princeton. Palacios was operating a 2022 International truck heading southbound on KY 672. For unknown reasons, the truck dropped off the right shoulder of the roadway and overcorrected across both lanes of travel, causing the truck to overturn down a steep embankment on the north side of the roadway.
KSP reports that this is an ongoing investigation.
