PEMBROKE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A man was hospitalized after his horse and buggy was involved in a car accident last night. A pickup truck collided with the buggy around 8:45 p.m. on Pembroke Road. The Pembroke Fire Department was on the scene of the crash along with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office.
The operator of the buggy injured his leg, and was life flighted to Nashville, according to CCSO. He is expected to make a full recovery. The driver of the truck sustained no significant injures.
The horse was also injured on his hind quarters and stomach, but deputies report he was able to walk away from the scene.
