HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The police were called after a dog was seen attacking people Monday afternoon at a residence on Dogwood Drive.
When officers arrived on scene the dog was actively attacking its owner, according to a report from Hopkinsville Police Department. Deadly force was used in attempt to stop the attack, but the dog continued. A second attempt of deadly force was able to stop the attack, and the dog died from its injuries.
According to Hopkinsville EMS, the woman who was attacked suffered from head, arm, and leg injuries and was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
