HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – People are encouraged to pick up a few extra items during their regular shopping for the Sanctuary Inc. Shop & Share fundraiser.  On Feb. 10 shoppers can easily donate items to the domestic violence shelters that serve victims of interpersonal violence in nine counties across the Pennyrile region.

Donations can be given to Sanctuary staff and volunteers from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Kroger stores in Madisonville, Hopkinsville, and Powderly, said a news release from Sanctuary Inc.

Goods donated during Shop & Share allows them to prioritize their budget to providing services to the men, women and children in Kentucky who seek assistance in rebuilding their lives free from abuse.

Needed items include:

  • Cleaning items: Toilet paper, laundry detergent pods, dishwashing liquid, disinfectant wipes and spray, brooms, mops, and buckets
  • Hygiene items: Deodorant, body wash, toothpaste, tampons, size four and five diapers, baby wipes, OTC medications, facial tissues
  • Grocery items: Granola bars, noodles, fruit snacks, cases of water, individual cereal cups, pasta and sauce, coffee (ground), Kroger grocery gift cards, and Monetary donations
