HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The National Weather Service has put Christian County under a dense fog advisory until noon Thursday. Visibility on the roadways may be less than one quarter mile.
“Heavy fog is making driving conditions hazardous,” the Christian County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook. “So please, use your headlights, drive slower than normal, make sure you’re in the right lane, and wear your seatbelt, today of all days. Conditions like these make it very difficult to see oncoming vehicles, or vehicles that might be stopped or slowed in your lane. Make sure and give yourself plenty of time to get to work this morning.”
After the fog clears, there is still a 60% chance of rain until 2 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. The cloudy skies will hang around for the rest of the day with temperatures going up to 61 degrees.
