HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Christian Way Farm, a beloved destination for family fun, is gearing up to reopen its gates March 30. They will be offering an array of Easter themed activities including an egg hunt, and mini golf.
The egg hunt at the farm will span the entire day between 10.a.m – 6 p.m., promising an exciting experience for children. Co-Owner Janie Corley estimates that 8,000-10,000 eggs will be hidden. The hunt has been a tradition for ten years at Christian Way and has grown every single year.
“After the first time doing it, someone asked if we were doing it again and I just said yes, yes we are!,” Corley said. “It’s a great way to kick off our Spring season.”
Empty eggs will be hidden all over the farm and kids will be given a bucket. Corley explained when kids give the bucket of eggs back to them, they receive a bag of candy. She said doing it this way means they can continue to re-hide eggs all day.
Guests can also come and pet baby sheep, cows, and a miniature horse. Crowd favorites on the farm include the 18-hole course mini golf and taking a spin on the lawnmower train.
The farm’s season will continue with a Splash Day in July and August and an array of fall activities including a pumpkin patch, corn maze, and hayrides in September. Christian Way Farm is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, with possible hour changes as the season progresses and the weather gets warmer.
“My husband and I truly love talking with the people that come on the farm,” Corley said. “We are excited to see who’s going to come this season and see what God has in store for us.”
