OAK GROVE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Oak Grove is preparing to host their 19th Annual Spring Into Summer Festival, where the community is invited to attend a free weekend of fun with carnival rides, a concert, and entertainment at the War Memorial Walking Trail on May 23-24. Hosted by Oak Grove Tourism, this award-winning festival attracts hundreds of people every year.

Country music singer Brett Young will be headlining the festival with a free concert, taking the Viceroy Stage on May 23 at 7 p.m. Gates will open at 3 p.m. to allow people to claim a spot on the green space with lawn chairs or blankets. Young is known for chart-topping hits such as “In Case You Didn’t Know,” “Mercy,” and “Lady.”

Other activities at the festival include around a dozen carnival rides, balloons, a bubble zone, vendors, trampoline performers, food and more entertainment. No tickets are required for entry to the festival or concert, parking is free and all rides are free.

This year’s festival will also incorporate a patriotic theme in honor of the nation’s 250th anniversary. veteran parachute jumpers from Fasttrack will make a grand entrance just before the concert begins, and after the concert, there will be a drone show.

Saturday schedule:

  • 12 p.m.- Doors open
  • 12:30 p.m./2 p.m./4 p.m.- Trampoline Stunt Show
  • 4 p.m.- Parachute jumpers
  • 7 p.m.- Brett Young concert followed by drone show
  • 8:30 p.m.- Carnival rides close

Sunday schedule:

  • 12 p.m.- Doors open
  • 12:30 p.m./2 p.m./4 p.m.- Trampoline Stunt Show
  • 5:30 p.m. – Carnival Rides End

Parking will be available at Valor Hall, with overflow directed into the grass by the event center. This is a rain or shine event, only impacted by severe weather. For more details about Spring Into Summer, go to the Visit Oak Grove website.
