HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Starting on Thursday night, there are so many fun events to check out this weekend in Hopkinsville, from live wrestling to barbecue, a free movie screening, play auditions, and a community park celebration.

- Details: The Micro Wrestling Federation will bring an all-ages professional wrestling event featuring a full cast of wrestlers under five feet tall. The show will include single matches, the high-energy Micro Brawl and the championship Micro Rumble. Fans can also meet the wrestlers and get autographs following the performance.

- Details: Squealin’ on the Square will bring together pitmasters, smokers and barbecue enthusiasts for a downtown BBQ competition. Up to 12 teams will compete for cash prizes, trophies and bragging rights before the public is invited to sample the barbecue and enjoy an evening of food, fun and downtown entertainment during Hoptown Nights starting at 6 p.m.

- Details: Aaron McNeil House will host its monthly food distribution for Christian County residents. Individuals picking up food for another household must provide that household’s name, address and total number of household members.

- Details: Campanile Productions will hold auditions for its September performances of Come From Away. Auditioning actors should be at least 18 and should prepare a 16-32 bar cut of a song that highlights storytelling ability. The production will feature a cast of 12-20 actors, with each performer taking on multiple roles.

- Details: Casey Jones Distillery will host “Casey’s ‘Til Late” featuring live music, food and bourbon experiences. Country Twang will perform from 6:45-8:45 p.m., Burgasm will serve food from 12:30-8 p.m., and extended tastings will be available at 6 and 6:30 p.m. Guests can also enjoy the Fill Your Own Bottle experience and Revere Small Batch tastings.
Movie Time: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
