HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Residents who want a hand in choosing the next Christian County Sheriff and Mayor of Hopkinsville only have a few days left to make sure they are registered to vote.
The deadline to register to vote for the upcoming primary election is April 20 at 4 p.m. Individuals who have not previously registered to vote and miss the deadline will be unable to vote during the May 19 election.
Data from the Commonwealth of Kentucky-State Board of Elections says that around 45,700 people are registered to vote in Christian County as of March. Overall, the county has a population of close to 70,000.
