HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A 74-year-old man was arrested Monday after shooting a gun at another vehicle while driving on the Pennyrile Parkway.
Passengers in the other vehicle told the Christian County Sheriff’s Office that the suspect was following them in his truck and had fired shots at them. Deputies were able to stage a high-risk traffic stop at the 11-mile marker of the Pennyrile Parkway to detain the suspect, according to a news release from CCSO.
After he was pulled over, the suspect admitted to the shooting, claiming he only shot in the air to scare the victims. But additional law enforcement with the Hopkinsville Police Department located a bullet hole in the victims’ bumper. He is being charged with wanton engenderment in the first degree.
