Updated July 17: The 21-year-old female driver of the vehicle involved in the accident died due to injuries sustained during the accident. The front passenger told deputies that the driver suddenly swerved on the roadway for an unknown reason.

A collision report for the Christian County Sheriff’s Office further detailed the crash, reporting that the vehicle crossed both eastbound lanes of the road, went over the median, and flipped multiple times in the westbound lanes.

The two children in the backseat complained of back and leg pain and had small lacerations. It was determined by deputies that the children were not in proper child restraints and were not wearing seatbelts.
