OAK GROVE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A 52-year-old man was arrested and charged with drug trafficking Saturday night during a traffic stop in Oak Grove.
The suspect was driving his motorcycle on Auburn Street when the Christian County Sheriff’s Office attempted to pull him over for not having registration plates. He parked at a Quality Inn parking lot and attempted to flee from deputies after initial contact, according to a news release from CCSO.
Deputies were able to quickly detain him and conduct a search where more than five pounds of marijuana and a suspected mixture of fentanyl and cocaine were found. According to CCSO, further investigation led to the discovery of more narcotics, a gun, and evidence of drug resale items in the suspect’s motel room.
The suspect is facing seven charges including trafficking marijuana, operating on a suspended or revoked license, and drug possession.
