HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Hopkinsville Brewing Company shared that a man was caught on camera vandalizing the exterior of the building on Nov. 3. The owners have chosen to not disclose exactly what was written, but described it as incredibly vile, hateful, and unacceptable graffiti.

“We’ve worked really hard over the past eight years to be a spot where everyone in the community can feel welcome and comfortable and hate speech of any form is absolutely not tolerated here,” owner Kate Russell told Christian County Now. In response, they recruited artist Roger Tison to quickly cover up the message with a painting of a blooming flower entitled “No Room for HATE”.

After reporting the incident to the Hopkinsville Police Department and sharing the vandal’s photo on social media, officers were able to identify and locate the vandal on Nov. 4.

According to Russell, they will likely pursue a restraining order to maintain the safety of their employees moving forward.
