HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A large amount of narcotics were seized from a Little River Landing apartment off of Pyle Lane, and a man was charged with drug trafficking by the Hopkinsville Police Department on Nov. 13.
The Special Investigations Unity and HPD Patrol Units conducted a search warrant of the apartment after receiving a call about possible narcotics trafficking. Around 14.5 pounds of marijuana, synthetic marijuana, codeine pills and paraphernalia used in the distribution of narcotics were found, according to a news release from HPD.
Children were also living in the residence where the arrest was made, and drug paraphernalia was found in their bedroom. The suspect was arrested and is facing several drug trafficking charges, and two counts of wanton endangerment.
