HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Every Friday between March 7 and April 11 the Hopkinsville Knights of Columbus will be hosting a fish fry. Heaping plates of freshly fried fish, fries, hushpuppies, white beans, coleslaw, dessert and a drink will be served to raise money for the community.

Tom O’Hagan with the organization said that last year, they were able to raise $25,000 during the Lenten Fish Fry. All proceeds were donated to the church, community, and veterans in Christian County.

This fundraiser is one of many they host, with them raising $2,500 earlier in February for Joy Closet and Hope House during a St. Valentine’s Day dinner and dance.

To grab a plate, people can stop by Meredith Hall in the St. Peter and Paul school gym. Dine in and carry out plates will be served between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., with everyone in the community welcome to enjoy. Adults pay $12 and kids pay $3. SPPS students wearing a school shirt eat free, along with active-duty military and first responders. Call 312-758-6687 for take-out orders.
