HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A man was flown to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon after a severe crash in Crofton.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reports that the Jeep was heading southbound on North Greenville Road approaching a curve when it went off the roadway and flipped multiple times into the ravine nearby around 4:30 p.m. on May 13.

The 47-year-old male driver from Dawson Springs was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and sustained severe injuries to his ankle and leg along with other abrasions. He was the only occupant of the vehicle during the crash.

According to a collision report, a witness on the scene told deputies that speed may have been a factor in the accident. The man was transported via ambulance and then was flown in a helicopter to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment.
