OAK GROVE, KY – On May 15, Oak Police Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle confirmed stolen from Hopkinsville. As a result of the investigation, two residents from Clarksville, Tennessee were arrested.
At approximately 6:20 p.m., officers spotted the stolen vehicle being operated near Fort Campbell Boulevard and Forest Road. The officers successfully stopped the vehicle and detained a 20-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man, both of Clarksville. Both individuals were involved in the theft of the vehicle from a residence in Hopkinsville.
During a search of the male suspect and his belongings, he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Additionally, he had an active arrest warrant from Tennessee. Both individuals were arrested and taken to the Christian County Jail.
They are both being charged with receiving stolen property, with the male suspect also facing additional charges including being a Fugitive from Justice, and Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine).
