HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A Dawson Springs woman was arrested on Memorial Day following a traffic stop that led to the discovery of meth and an open beverage.
At about 10:17 p.m. Christian County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a stop on vehicle with a broken taillight near Fort Campbell Boulevard, according to a CCSO news release. The driver, a 45-year-old woman, was found to have an open alcoholic beverage in the vehicle and an active felony warrant out of Hopkins County.
A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a substance believed to be methamphetamine, according to the release.
She was charged with the following offenses and booked into the Christian County Jail.
- No Tail Lamps
- Excessive Windshield/Window Tinting
- No Registration Receipt
- Improper Display of Registration Plates
- Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in a Motor Vehicle
- Possession of Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 3rd or Greater Offense (Methamphetamine)
