HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A collaborative investigation has led the arrest of a man suspected of multiple burglaries in Hopkinsville and Clarksville, Tennessee.
According to a news release from Hopkinsville Police Department, on May 24 around 4 a.m., officers responded to a burglary at Green Tree Botanical Dispensary. During the investigation, surveillance footage showed the face of the suspect along with the vehicle the suspect was driving. The footage showed the suspect using a rock to gain entry into the establishment and stole multiple hemp-based products that were unique to that business.
Officers then collaborated with Clarksville Police Department, who was investigating similar burglaries. Detectives with CPD and HPD were able to positively identify the suspect as a 26-year-old Nicholas McNeal who was residing in Oak Grove.
HPD says that on May 30, a search warrant was executed at the suspects address, and detectives were able to recover the stolen products from both the Hopkinsville and Clarksville stores along with the clothing that he was observed wearing in the surveillance footage. He was charged with burglary in the third degree. CPD currently has three actives warrants against the man for this incident.
