HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Two young men were apprehended by Hopkinsville Police after guns were stolen during an armed robbery Tuesday night.
On Sept. 2 around 9 p.m., 19-year-old suspect Kenji White and another unnamed juvenile approached two men standing in the common area of an apartment building at Charlie Court. Both suspects were wearing dark ski masks and had “AR style” rifles, according to an arrest report from HPD.
The suspects aimed the rifles at the victim’s necks and demanded that they hand over their handguns saying, “Hand over your pole or get shot.” The suspects obtained two guns during the robbery and fled on foot toward Lafeyette Road.
A nearby witness recognized the juvenile offender and provided his address. Both suspects were apprehended in the area of Gale Lane just after midnight and the stolen handguns were recovered.
