Updated Sept. 10: Hopkinsville Police has determined that the accident was caused by a medical emergecy, which resulted in the driver briefly losing consiousness.
Cocaine was also found in the vehicle, and the driver has been issued a citation for drug possession.

HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A driver suspected of being intoxicated crashed a vehicle into a home in Hopkinsville overnight.
Around 3 a.m. the morning of Sept. 9, a vehicle drove off the roadway and into a residence on Faulkner Drive. According to Payton Rogers with Hopkinsville Fire/EMS, the vehicle had about a four-foot intrusion into the home which inflicted moderate damage to the structure.
The home was occupied when the crash occurred, but no one inside the residence was injured. Local law enforcement is investigating the driver of the vehicle for a possibly driving while under the influence.
