OAK GROVE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The casino in Oak Grove located at Winners Way has closed for the night as law enforcement investigated a threat made to the facility.
On Sept. 10, at approximately 5 p.m., the Oak Grove Police Department received a report concerning a potential threat directed at the Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel. The police department in collaboration with the Kentucky State Police are working diligently to assess the credibility of these threats, according to a news release.
The area was secured and searched by specially trained canine units. Oak Grove PD disclosed that there is no indication of threats to other facilities or individuals, and this incident is being treated as isolated.
A statement from the Oak Grove Racing, Gaming, and Hotel said the entire facility is closed for the remainder of the evening, reopening Sept. 11 at 9 a.m.
This remains an ongoing investigation, no further details are available at this time.
